Uniswap Launches Mobile Wallet for Android.
Available on Google Play. This tool allows users to perform exchanges directly through the app, avoiding the need to use a separate browser extension. The app features support for swaps between eight different blockchains, as well as trader tracking functions and protection against MEV-bots.
The Android version of the wallet was initially introduced in October for beta testing, following the launch of the iOS app in April. Khalil Capuozzo, Vice President of Design at Uniswap Labs, in an interview with Cointelegraph, noted that the developers took user feedback into account and made changes to the interface to enhance usability. He stated that the Android app was one of the most anticipated products among the community.
It is worth noting that the total value of assets locked in the Uniswap protocol amounts to $3.56 billion, according to DeFiLlama. Also, Uniswap developers plan to synchronize the launch of protocol version v4 with the upcoming Dencun hard fork in the Ethereum blockchain. In October, the exchange introduced a fee of 0.15% for swaps of a limited set of tokens in the web interface and wallets, which raised concerns in the community about the potential centralization of the platform.
