Coinbase Declares Bitcoin 'Mainstream' Following ETF Launch
Executives at Coinbase Institutional have stated that the introduction of spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US opens up opportunities for attracting a broader audience to cryptocurrency, according to a report by The Block.
Brett Tejpaul, head of the institutional division of the exchange, commented, "Cryptocurrency can now become mainstream. This is the moment we've been waiting for, opening a new chapter for this asset class."
Representatives of the trading platform noted that with the emergence of spot Bitcoin ETFs in the market, there is increased interest from traditional asset managers with a significant client base and demand for the product.
Greg Tusar, head of institutional product at Coinbase, emphasized that the launch of these funds stimulates the market to discuss attracting additional capital. Top executives also pointed out the importance of ensuring the quality and reliability of these new products.
